Williams Grand Prix Engineering has thrown its weight behind the brand new Multicomp conference organised by NetComposites Ltd which takes place in June.

Brian O’Rourke, chief composites engineer at Williams Grand Prix Engineering, will take his place as a panel member at the conference.

Gemma Smith, NetComposites marketing and communications manager, said: “We’re really looking forward to this event and are pleased to announce Brian as a member of the panel. Brian has been with Williams since 1982 where he has gained experience in the design, analysis and manufacturing of composite materials. I am sure his knowledge and experience will add to an already fantastic programme.”

The brand-new conference aims to bring together researchers, designers, manufacturers and end-users to showcase the latest developments in hybrid composite solutions within high value sectors such as automotive, aerospace, rail and energy.

A panel session will take place on the first day of the conference where delegates will be able to address the panel on subjects such as the opportunities, challenges and trends of employing and joining multi-materials for lightweight structures.

Multicomp 2017 will take place on 14 and 15 June, 2017 in Nottingham.
