As a new start-up business, there were many deciding factors for joining the Qimtek membership, one of which was the affordability. Director Paul Stock tells us that “the overheads simply to establish a basic buyers list, far outweighs the cost of membership.” A year later and MISL have secured 8 initial orders via the system, and gained 2 repeat customers who send work directly. Paul estimates that 90% of his workload has been gained directly or indirectly via Qimtek.
“The 12-month minimum contract was a daunting prospect, but we soon found that the service actually works, providing us with real engineering purchasing contracts. Without minimum terms, there would be less commitment, and therefore a lack of focus on the opportunities provided. The work we have gained via Qimtek has covered all the costs of our start-up company in the first year and we are now starting to see growth. I can honestly say without Qimtek, we would not be here today.”
We asked Paul if there was any advice he could give to those looking to join. He replied “All the time you wait, you are missing out on some very interesting part manufacture projects and losing out on a vast contact list of qualified engineering buyers. You will win work with the membership, providing you are seen with aspects of quality, honesty and most importantly communication.”
