Master Chemical appoints TRIM distributor in Germany

Market leading metalworking fluid specialist, Master Chemical, has appointed Graushaar as its official distributor of TRIM® cutting and grinding fluids in Germany. Known worldwide for superior performance, TRIM® products meet the demands of machine shops in industries ranging from automotive, aerospace and rail, through to energy and medical, but have not been available, locally, to German manufacturers until now.

“The marketing of Master Chemical products is a unique opportunity for us,” states company founder, Mrs Iris Graushaar. “TRIM® cutting fluids are of outstanding quality, and are now available in Germany through ourselves. Exclusivity for the German market means we can invest in marketing activities like trade fairs to help nurture product familiarity.”

Headquartered at Groß-Rohrheim near Frankfurt, Graushaar has sold coolant filter technology in Germany for many years, from which initial contact with Master Chemical emerged. With extensive experience in the machining market, Graushaar has already won orders from German customers wanting to realise the benefits of TRIM® cutting fluids.

“Those machine shops that have taken delivery of Master Chemical products are completely converted and very content,” says Mr Markus Graushaar. “Customers in Germany want more than just a great service. Technology must play its’ part. In the past, service meant that every couple of weeks, a representative visited a site and made various stabilising additions into the coolant tanks. We have found this is not required with TRIM® products from Master Chemical and customers are seeing improvements in productivity and operator safety”

According to Mr Graushaar, the opportunities for TRIM® products in the German marketplace are very promising, largely because of their performance and health & safety attributes. One particular sector that the company intends to target is the automotive industry, via contacts at major German OEMs. In fact, just such an OEM is currently running trials with TRIM® MicroSol™ 519, a medium-to-high lubrication, boron and formaldehyde free micro-emulsion coolant. The tests will run until the end of 2015 and are already showing encouraging results.

According to Mr Graushaar, micro-emulsion products such as TRIM® MicroSol™ 515,  TRIM® MicroSol™ 519 and TRIM® MicroSol™ 585XT, are perfect for the German machining market, not just for their market-leading performance, but because they are free of formaldehyde, which will be prohibited in Germany.

Moving forward, Graushaar and Master Chemical TRIM® products will be making appearances at various metalworking related exhibitions across Germany.
