Who stands behind Work Matta?

Work Matta™ have been working with large and small industrial partners for over 20 years providing Ergonomic Flooring solutions . The business is built on people, partnerships and solution-based selling. We all believe in what we are doing and our products, which makes coming to work easy.

Paul Harris - Managing Director:

Paul says 'I love what I do, I love dealing with passionate people who want the best for the customer. It is my job to give them the best product that we possibly can.'

'To do this, we keep innovating and challenging ourselves in the factory,' he continued. 'Recently we achieved our ISO 45001 for manufacturing - Health and Safety is what we are based on, so we needed it in the factory. Keep an eye out for the next ISO accreditation that we will strive for!'

Our People:

Here in the UK, we have a sales team of two who are are out in the field, talking to customers, measuring and assessing sites, solving problems, organising the laying of the product and looking for new opportunities.

Andy Pike - Sales Manager North:

'I worked for Royal Mail for 15 years as a Postman/Driver, Shift Manager and finally within the Planning and Office restructure. I left Royal Mail and began a career in Accounting, which saw me involved in several small businesses.

I first got involved with Work Matta™ back in 2012 as a fitter, meeting customers laying the mats and chatting to staff about the benefits of the product.  In 2018, I moved into sales, looking after the Northern Region.  Working for Work Matta™, is a passion of mine. Seeing the market grow and develop, building working relationships with our customer base and expanding on this. I believe strongly in customer service and enjoy immensely travelling, meeting new people and helping their work environment to be a safer and more comfortable place to work.

I look forward to seeing Work Matta™ Flooring Mats in many more companies and offering the customer a first-class service that they can learn to trust and see the benefits that our products can bring, both within worker satisfaction, safety, comfort and improved productivity.'

Ben Courts - Sales Manager South:

'I left the army in 2007 after nearly 5 years and 2 operational tours of Iraq. I then began working for a furniture shop in Tinsley Birmingham. After around 6 months, I had realised retail was not what I wanted to do, but I did enjoy sales and meeting with people. I then started as a sales trainee for a metals company in Redditch, where I did everything from account management to driving the truck when the regular driver had time off.

I then moved into selling metals, bathrooms and flooring over the next few years, always looking after both internal and external customers and in some instances, looking after large regions. I realised after an office-based job that being on the road, problem solving and talking to people was what I wanted to be doing. The opportunity to join Work Matta™ came in September 2018.

I love working with customers, finding them the best solution for their needs. I love working for Work Matta™ as it really makes a difference in people’s daily lives. The product sells itself, when I chat to new customers, show them the mats and let them stand on a sample, they immediately want our product.  Solution-based selling is the best approach when working with customers.'
