Taylor Forgings Ltd
Profile
Steel Stockholders & Sub-contract machinists, based in Shefield, South Yorkshire.
Over the years Taylor Forgings has been involved in many high profile projects. Steel machined by Taylor Forgings was used in the first MRI scanners, the company played a major role in India with supply of specialist steel for the railway signals, each UK submarine has considerable quantities of Taylor Forgings’ material in its turbines and every UK nuclear facility contains Taylor Forgings’ stainless.
Today Taylor Forgings Ltd is owned by Simon and Jill Bluff. Their belief in the need for continual business development is reflected in their investment in three key areas. Firstly in finding the best people to work at all levels of the business, from apprenticeships to key management positions. Secondly in facilities, with their move in 2018 to a 56,000 square feet factory on Acres Hill Lane in Sheffield. Thirdly in the best equipment for the job. Taylor Forgings Ltd now boasts 3 CNC machines to complement their existing manual machine shop. These include 2 state of the art SFM lathes with maximum bed lengths of 5 metres. Nearly 50 years since the business was founded the company is looking forward to the next 50 years.
Our 56000 square feet facility just off the M1 motorway is based in Sheffield, the home of stainless steel.
