Received a Negative Company Review? Here's What To Do About It

The rise of the internet within the past few decades has meant that reviews are now much more accessible. Before buying a product or service, it's easy to check out previous customers' experiences so as to ensure legitimacy and quality. As well as being beneficial for would-be consumers, positive reviews can also serve as exceptional marketing tools for companies who are looking to attract more interest.

While a large majority of the reviews on our platform are overwhelmingly positive, it would be unrealistic to expect that negative reviews would not arise. If you've been reviewed in a less favourable light, then here is what to do about it:

Contact the Author:

Your best starting point is to have a conversation with the reviewer to see if you can resolve the issue.

While we strive for all companies to have a positive experience on the Qimtek network, it is also crucial to the integrity of the reviewing system that everyone gets the chance to have their say - whether good or bad. As Qimtek is simply the conduit through which the review is submitted, we do not feel that it is appropriate for us to pick and choose which reviews are published and which are not, provided that a genuine business relationship exists. Therefore, we cannot simply remove negative reviews upon request, as this would undermine the authenticity of the platform.

With that being said, we are more than happy to remove the review at the author's request. If you feel as if the review was unfair, then your best starting point is to have a conversation with the reviewer to see if you can resolve the issue. If this is possible and the author contacts us to have their review removed, then we will absolutely do so without any hesitation.

One of the best ways to overcome a negative review is to counter it with positive reviews.

If it isn't possible to resolve the issue, or the author refuses to remove the review, then you may be left wondering what you can do to distract from it. One of the best ways to overcome a negative review is to counter it with positive reviews. Nearly all of the negative reviews on our site are one-off occurrences, which means that you almost definitely have a lot of happy customers on your books (otherwise you wouldn't be in business!). Why not contact them and ask if they wouldn't mind leaving a positive review? This will help to detract from the negative feedback, as well as illustrating the fact that any less favourable reviews are isolated incidents.

Attaching testimonials along with your quote will work wonders when it comes to being viewed as a viable supply prospect.

If buyers can see from the offset that you have a great reputation amongst your customers, then they may not need to look any further. No company in the world receives 100% positive feedback from their customers - even your customers and prospects will have their own naysayers!

Regardless of any reviews you might have received, this is always a great way to demonstrate to your potential customers that you are a trustworthy business that is capable of offering great quality, outstanding service and reliable delivery.
